Cankiri, located in the
north edge of Anatolia, in the borders of West Black Sea region ,
surrounded by the mountains which had been subject in many poems on the
north side , and at the same time covers the longest river of the
country Kizilirmak (Red River) is one of Turkey's important city.
It is neighbor with Ankara and Kirikkale on the south, Bolu on west, Kastamonu and Karabuk on north and Corum on east.
Although
it hosted many civilizations since the Neolithic era until present,
the historic ruins had been damaged a lot because of the innumerable
earthquakes it had.
It's still a very good point for those who
would like to escape from the crowded city life right into the center
of nature and to enjoy the green environment though.
The
plateaus of Cankiri available for Mountain trekking / Nature walking,
camping and caravan tourism, photographing,bicycle riding and hunting
. and the thermal spas, Ilgaz Mountains and many more natural
