Eskisehir, the natural borders
on the north and east side had been drawn by Sakarya River, had been
established during Phrygians first thousand years B.C. on the foot of
Porsuk Creek.
Being one of the oldest settlement place of
Anatolia had grown country and world wide characters such as Nasrettin
Hodja, and Yunus Emre and had hosted so many cultural and historical
arts within it's border for over centuries.
Eskisehir besides
it's richness in culture and history, it is also quite rich for unique
and attributed underground mines and thermal spas.
According to
scientific resources it shows that the hot springs and thermal spas in
city center coming is from the ancient Dorlaion City's establishment
location.
Thermals, hot springs, spas and other underground
resources of Eskisehir had also helped the city to gain it's
popularity and made it an important city and location for health

Meerschaum embroidery is one of the most popular
and important hand-made art among the traditional handy crafts arts of
Eskisehir.
Meerschaum stone was being used only
for making pipes in old time, but nowadays it's also being used for

Yalikaya Frig Valley in
Seyitgazi and Han Provinces is a natural and archeological SIT area has
a history of ages that goes back up to B.C. 3000 years up to
Paleolithic Era.

in Han Town is the holy and religion center of Phrygians and was a
candidate to be taken into the list of World Cultural and Natural
Heritages.

Victory Day every year on 1st April, Nasreddin Hoca (Nasredddin Hodja)
Birth festivals 3 to 10 June around Sivrihisar Town, Yunus Emre Culture
and Art week 6 to 10 May in city center.
